Who I Am
That heading reminds me of Derek Zoolander staring into a puddle questioning, “Who am I?”
But seriously. It took me a long time to answer this question and figure out how to write about myself. My name is Anna and I’m a creative person currently based in Denver, CO.
After a very classical educational path that netted me an economics degree and environmental studies concentration I got a job in my field of study logged 10+ years in the marketing and design world, working for agencies, on in house teams, and with various startups. My experiences afforded me the opportunity to integrate with a wide variety of industries and businesses of many different sizes and at many different stages of their lifecycles.
I found myself jaded and fed up with the standard way things work. I wanted to do more than follow the oft heard directive to make things “pop”. I grew tired of justifying why I should be paid at all when someone’s teenage relative learned how to make websites at school last semester, and one can order up a quick logo design on stock sites.
So, I stopped.
I took a few years to work in sales to better understand the underlying principles behind what we do as design professionals and marketers. I pursued further education in coding and user experience to better understand the foundation of why and how websites perform the way they do. I completed trainings to increase my communication skills and better understand the human psyche. I took space to re-engage with my art in the physical world.
Out of that experience I reformed Stonefox Industries as a unique product of compassion, understanding, and above all, excellence. Stonefox Industries is here to get your systems tight, your branding dialed, and your assets maximally functional so you can concentrate on running your business right.
